*This cartoon was created a few days ago and scheduled to appear today. Yesterday a wild fire took over my rugged country hometown, burning the homes of many friends and neighbors. Is there humor in an unfolding disaster? Containment is fiercely being fought for but at this point illusory. I feel like this man, standing there helplessly looking from a distance, wishing like crazy that all that smoke would clear up in a poof of magic at my will.
